Student Background
A Junior High School graduate from China who has received an offer from an International School in Singapore and the course of study is IB.
Student’s Needs
Because of the education system in China, parents are worried that their child will have difficulties in Singapore’s learning environment and the IB program when they come to Singapore. As such, they want to find a tutor who is familiar with IB courses and to help the child to learn relevant knowledge in advance.
Assessment of Student
Student learned English in Junior High School and thus the listening and speaking are both good. However, the foundation of reading and writing is relatively weak. IB program has high requirements on reading and writing abilities. Therefore, in addition to his daily learning, we also recommended reading and writing tutors for students to improve his language.
Offered Solutions
According to the schedule of students, we planned for student to have tutoring for two IB majors and two language learning every week.

Learning Feedback
The IB course tutor has many years of teaching experience in international schools, and once served as the Director of a top international school in Singapore. The teacher sorted out the relevant and helpful IB contents for students according to the school curriculum, which helped student to review better. In addition, during the communication process, the tutor also learned that the student is not good at interacting with classmates and had difficulties discussing homework with classmates. As such, the tutor also gave student some suggestions and guidance on how to participate in similar team work during the tutoring process.
